Turquoise is an opaque blue- green mineral, it belongs tot he range of hydrated phosphate.
It’s more beautiful varieties are third- order gemstones. Turquoise is also sold polished to a hemispherical or oval shape. It is considered a healing and magical stone in Eastern culture and also the indigenous Indians of Mexico and North America. Turquoise is still produced artificially today, which is almost identical to the original. The most famous natural turquoise is in the collection of the Moscow Academy, 7,6 cm long and 2,5 cm a wide piece, which at that time allegedly came to Moscow from Nadir shah's treasury.

If the turquoise is encased in silver jewelry, it should’t be cleaned with a silver cleaner as the stone will be ruined. Only the silver cleaning cloth can be used, but also with care, avoiding the turquoise gemstone. Turquoise should be protected from sunlight and fades easily because its material is extremely porous.
